Job Summary
A CNC Machinist 1 sets up and operates CNC and manual machines to produce parts per specifications during production operations. Key responsibilities include following safety requirements, inspecting machined parts, using precision measuring instruments, loading and unloading parts, managing tools, making machine adjustments, and maintaining machines. The candidate must have the ability to read and understand blueprints, possess basic CNC programming knowledge, and demonstrate competency in mathematical reasoning and language skills. Physical demands of the job require standing, walking, and repetitive hand use. Prior experience in similar roles is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Reads and understands blueprints
- Basic understanding of CNC programming if applicable
- High school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE) credential such as general education degree (GED) is required
- 1 to 3 months related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5-10 years experience
