Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC machine tools, including Horizontal Machining Centers, turning centers, and mill-turn platforms, to produce intricate parts from diverse materials in a small-batch environment. Edit G & M code, verify dimensions with precision gauges, and perform routine maintenance to keep equipment at peak performance. Stop further processing of nonconforming parts until issues are corrected and verified. Collaborate with teammates to solve problems and drive corrective actions. Work the second shift starting at 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Use of precision measuring instruments
- Hands-on skill setting up and operating CNC machine tools
- Experience editing CNC programs in G & M code format
- Comfort with routine machine upkeep and preventative maintenance
- Detail orientation
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Second shift availability (starting at 3:15 pm)
- Monday–Friday schedule availability
- Willingness to work overtime
Desired Qualifications
- Ownership mindset: bringing own tools or being willing to acquire tools of the trade
- Prior exposure to FANUC or Mitsubishi controls
- Experience in aerospace or medical manufacturing
- Journeyman's Certificate
- 8+ years of experience
