Job Summary
CNC Machining Instructor deliver hands-on and classroom instruction in CNC machining and related manufacturing topics; train students on CNC mills and/or lathes including setup, operation, and best practices; teach blueprint reading, GD&T, tooling, feeds & speeds, and shop safety; support students with real-world machining knowledge and industry insight; adapt instruction to different learning levels and career goals. Qualified candidates have hands-on CNC machining experience and the ability to clearly explain technical concepts; teaching/training experience is a plus. Flexible schedules available with options for full-time or independent contractor engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in CNC machining (mills, lathes, or both)
- Background in manufacturing, machining, CNC programming, or related fields
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to learners
- Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience is a plus—but not required
- Passion for developing the next generation of skilled machinists
