Job Summary
Identify and correct safety-related issues while performing independent equipment evaluations to detect potential failures. Safely execute functions including job hazard analysis, lockout/tag-out procedures, and preventive maintenance on industrial electrical control systems via the CMMS. Troubleshoot basic electrical components, operate diagnostic instruments, and interpret schematics to resolve work problems and recommend performance improvements. Respond to customer work orders while ensuring compliance with codes and regulations. Maintain strict schedules with flexibility for day-to-day activities and customer benefit.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent
- Two years of experience maintaining buildings, facilities, or equipment in a large commercial or industrial environment
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher
- Ability to pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
- Authorization to work in the US
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a security access badge
- Ability to regularly lift to 50 lbs
- Ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift
- Flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift
- Ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift
- Ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift
- Ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift
- Ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift
- Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding
- Ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress
- Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed
- Ability to cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in industrial electrical or a related field
- Experience working safely with 480V 3 phase circuits
- Some experience troubleshooting motor controls
- Knowledge with troubleshooting PLC logic
- Knowledge of VFD's
- Experience working with a PC-based work order opening, closing and time reporting system
- Capable of utilizing a building automation system to track building conditions and the operation of production equipment
