CNC Machine Programmer and Set Up

Job Summary
Operate and program CNC machinery including grinders, lathes, saws, and milling equipment. Review blueprints and set up tooling and settings for each work order; plan task sequence; ensure quality output through measurements and proper tooling selection. Prove out programs to achieve desired results. Occasional forklift, coolant handling, and overhead crane tasks. Requires education equivalent to a high school diploma, with 2-3 years of experience preferred. Must read blueprints, have basic math skills, and communicate effectively. Must be able to interact with employees, maintain safety, and work with both standard and metric units. Facility is a factory environment with routine exposure to noise and hazardous conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience preferred
- Able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings
- Basic mathematical skills
- Good oral and written communication
- Able to collaborate with others
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
- Ability to work with standard and metric measurements
- Proficient with tape measure; willingness to learn other measuring tools
