Job Summary
Set up, operate, and monitor multi-axis CNC milling machines and turning centres to manufacture precision UAV components to tight tolerances. Read engineering drawings and work instructions, perform tool changes and machine calibration, and conduct first article and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment. Maintain production schedules while ensuring quality standards, perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment, and document production data and quality records. Requires high school diploma plus technical training, 2+ years of CNC machining experience, and proficiency with Fashanu or similar controls. Located at IIT Kanpur/Greater Noida with a salary of $60,000-$80,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma plus technical training in CNC operations
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience
- Proficiency with Fashanu, Has, or similar CNC controls
- Knowledge of G-code programming and CAM software
- Experience machining aluminium, steel, and exotic alloys
- Strong mathematical and blueprint reading skills
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in manufacturing or machining technology
- Experience with 4th and 5th axis machining operations
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (Master cam, SolidWorks CAM)
- AS9100 or aerospace quality system experience
