Job Summary
Retrieve and stage raw materials, complete CNC machine setups, and run provided programs while reviewing blueprints and determining appropriate tooling. Monitor machine operation, respond to alarms, and perform quality checks to ensure parts meet customer specifications. Adjust speeds and cutting methods to achieve accurate results, troubleshoot basic operational issues, and execute preventive maintenance tasks. Safely operate a front-load forklift and overhead crane while maintaining a clean, organized work area. This role requires front-load forklift experience and approximately three years of CNC calculation and CAD/CAM software proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Front-load forklift experience
- Previous CNC machine operating and setup experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Basic math skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to concentrate and maintain attention to detail for extended periods
- Ability to wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots and safety glasses
- Must have adequate close, distance, and color vision and the ability to adjust focus as required for the position
Desired Qualifications
- Approximately 3 years of experience with CNC calculations, CAD, and CAM software
- Previous overhead crane experience
