Job Summary
Operate CNC cutting systems to process carbon steel and stainless steel plates up to specified thicknesses using gantry-type machining centers; read blueprints, perform beveling, and ensure quality through math, safe practices, and preventive maintenance. Requires 1+ year of experience with laser, waterjet, or plasma cutting equipment, ability to prioritize and follow instructions, adaptability to work on a 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 3:30pm–2am) with potential first-shift training, and capability to handle large parts with overhead crane rigging as a plus. Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience operating cutting equipment in a metal shop with a laser, waterjet, and/or plasma table
- Ability to read and work off of blueprints
- Strong math skills
- Knowledge of crane rigging experience with large parts is a huge plus
- Work independently or with others; demonstrate responsible behavior and attention to detail
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance measures to ensure safety of equipment and work environment
