Job Summary
Operate CNC plasma cutting system to machine carbon steel up to 10" thick and stainless steel up to 6 1/4" thick using a gantry-type machining center with beveling capabilities. Read and interpret blueprints, prioritize tasks, maintain equipment safety, perform preventive maintenance, and handle large parts with crane rigging as needed. This role supports a first-shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm) and comes with comprehensive benefits including insurance, 401k match, PTO, HSA, and holidays. Mountain Joy, PA location with on-site work; no relocation mentioned.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience operating cutting equipment in a metal shop with a laser, waterjet, and/or plasma table
- Ability to work in a safe, cautious manner, exercising care and concern for the people, equipment, and product
- Knowledge of large material handling
- Competency in being able to prioritize, make decisions, follow instructions, recognize and adhere to standards of quality
- Work independently or with others; demonstrating responsible behavior and attention to detail
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance measures to ensure safety of equipment and work environment
- Knowledge of crane rigging experience with large parts is a huge plus (the overhead crane system has a max lifting capability of 50 tons with 31' height)
- Ability to read and work off of blueprints
- Strong math skills
