Job Summary
Set up parts in CNC machines without assistance, change tools, and adjust heights to maintain required quality output. Inspect products during machining to ensure parts meet specifications and follow all job work order instructions. Run multiple machines where cycle time permits and complete shop floor documentation for part-dimensional and visual inspections. Maintain equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and reporting repair needs to management. Comply with safety guidelines, quality systems, and housekeeping standards while standing for the shift and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years' experience setting up CNC Lathe machine tools
- U.S. person status (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience editing CNC machine programs and writing basic programs
- Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&T tolerancing with profile tolerancing preferred
- Strong math background
- Demonstrated problem solving ability
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
