CNC Lathe Programmer - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Setup and operate CNC machines, including reading blueprints and machining plastic or nonmetallic materials to meet engineered drawing requirements. Program machines using G and M codes, validate parts with micrometers and gauges, and adjust feed rates to ensure consistent accuracy. Identify tooling needs, perform measurement validation, and stop production if quality issues arise. Work the 2nd shift in a team environment, adhering to B&B quality policies and safety procedures while communicating deadlines and updates to supervisors.

Required Qualifications

  • Read, write, and comprehend English language
  • Proficient in general CNC operations
  • Proficient in FANUC controls
  • Ability to program machine in G and M codes
  • Ability to expeditiously setup machines to run parts at high production speeds
  • Knowledgeable in current indexable tooling technology
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to operate multiple CNC machines
  • Ability to measure and record all required data and dimensions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to communicate when deadlines cannot be met
  • Knowledgeable in the use of boring tools
  • Knowledgeable in the use of gauges
  • Knowledgeable in the use of inspection fixtures
  • Knowledgeable in the use of CNC Milling machines
  • Knowledgeable in the use of FANUC controls
  • Knowledge of arithmetic

  • Ability to watch gauges, dial, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
