Job Summary
Interpret complex prints and engineering drawings with GD&T symbols to program and machine parts from challenging materials on Okuma CNC turning centers. Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines to produce precision parts according to specifications while performing quality checks using calipers and micrometers. Collaborate with engineers and the production team to optimize manufacturing processes, maintain tooling inventory, and adhere to Lean manufacturing principles. Requires 10 years of CNC machining experience, 5 years of programming, and MasterCAM familiarity. Located in Central New Jersey, this role supports aerospace, defense, and automotive industries.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of CNC machining experience
- 5 years of CNC programming experience
- At least 1 year experience with MasterCAM programming software
- Strong knowledge of lathe and mill tooling/inserts
- Familiarity with GD&T principles for part inspection
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other various inspection equipment for quality checks
- Okuma conversational programming experience
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices
- Previous experience in tooling selection and maintenance
- Familiarity of AS9100 standards
