CNC/Lathe/Mill Turn Machinist/Operator III

Job Summary
Operate CNC mills and lathes by interpreting geometric dimensions, tolerances, and work instructions to manufacture parts to required quantities. Select appropriate cutting tools and fixturing, perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and CMM, and conduct in-process inspections to verify conformance to specifications. Monitor machine readouts for malfunctions, report non-conformances, and maintain a clean, safe 5S work environment while adhering to all safety protocols. Update and adjust processes as needed with proper documentation, providing timely feedback to managers. Minimum of six years machining experience, proficient in 3,4, and 5-axis controls, and Doosan/Fanuc knowledge preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of machining experience
- High school degree or equivalent
- Proficient in operating and programming CNC 3,4, and 5 Axis Mills and Lathes
- Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models
- Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM)
- Understanding of GD&T
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment and materials up to 50lbs
- Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms
- Capable of standing for long periods and working in various industrial settings (e.g., machine shops)
- Ability to withstand loud noise environment
Desired Qualifications
- Doosan Mill/Turn knowledge a plus
- Fanuc control experience a plus
- preferably in a high-precision or military environment
