Job Summary
CNC Lathe Machinist needed for 2nd shift from 2:20 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include setting up, editing, and operating CNC lathes, inspecting parts, and minor machine maintenance. Must have proficiency with hand measuring tools and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient using hand measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparator, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications and routings
- Ability to operate and adjust offsets; setup experience preferred
- Ability to edit programs, fanuc controls, G code and M code programming
- Mathematical skills that allow addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Must perform metric conversions
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to true in jaws
- Possess a good mechanical aptitude or prior machinist experience
