Job Summary
Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC equipment independently and safely. Read process travelers, setup journals, tooling sheets, and operation sheets to produce complex finished products. Make tooling adjustments, program offsets, and inspect work using various instruments including OD & ID gaging, indicators, micrometers, height stands, and verniers. Perform daily TPM responsibilities, maintain good housekeeping, and comply with all safety rules while wearing necessary PPE. Actively participate in cross-training, cost savings, and team activities to improve processes. This 1st shift role requires a minimum of 5 years of aerospace CNC machining experience. US work authorization is required due to government contracts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of aerospace CNC machining experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- US Person (Green Card Holder or United States Citizen)
- Ability to accurately inspect work utilizing various instruments, including OD & ID indicating gaging, indicators, micrometers, height stands and verniers
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to regularly stand
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to occasionally walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
- Must be able to read and understand process travelers, setup journals, tooling sheets and operation sheets
- Must be able to make tooling adjustments and program offsets as necessary
- Must be able to independently and safely set up and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis equipment
- Must be able to comply with all company and safety rules and regulations
- Must be able to wear necessary personal protective equipment as required
Desired Qualifications
- Degree/certificate from vocation school or college program
- Extensive experience (to substitute for education)
