Job Summary
Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, quality plans, materials, specifications, OP drawings, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances. Set up turning lathes by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, and attachments, then load feed mechanisms and verify settings by measuring positions and first-run parts. Maintain specifications by observing operations such as drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing; detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, adjust controls, replace worn tools, and adhere to quality assurance procedures. Keep equipment running by completing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting issues, and calling for repairs. Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting actions, irregularities, and continuing needs through production and quality logs. Adhere to safety procedures and regulations. Minimum of 4 years experience setting up and operating CNC turning lathes required, with ability to read technical mechanical drawings and GD&T.
Required Qualifications

- Good understanding of GD&T
- Basic mathematical skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating DMG/Mori Seiki NT4300/1500 turn/mill
- Experience with gear manufacturing
