Job Summary

Operate and monitor assigned CNC lathe machinery according to established procedures and safety standards. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning, read blueprints and work orders, and inspect parts for quality using measuring tools. Adjust machine settings to maintain specifications, record production data including output and downtime, and report mechanical issues to maintenance staff. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while following all company safety policies. This 2nd shift position requires standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs, with exposure to loud noises and coolant.

Required Qualifications

  • Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as needed
  • Regular standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Use of hands and manual dexterity for precise machining and tool work
  • Exposure to loud noises, coolant, sharp tools, and metal shavings

Desired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is a plus
  • Vocational or technical training preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus
  • Experience operating or working with mills (manual or CNC) or other metalworking machinery is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with machining processes such as cutting, drilling, or grinding
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, or schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
