Job Summary
CNC Lathe and Mill Machinist position at QCMI for 2nd shift. Candidates must have CNC experience, proficiency in setups, knowledge of metals and machining principles, and excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist in a machine shop
- Proficient at setting up and working unsupervised
- Comfortable with Fanuc, Okuma, Haas and other controls
- Knowledge of various types of metals including castings & forgings
- Understands speeds/feeds used when cutting different materials including exotic alloys
- Understands geometric tolerance
- Proficient at reading & understanding blueprints
- Comfortable/competent in making program changes at the machining centers
- Must have own tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Strong work ethics
- Team player
- Willingness to work overtime when requested
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principals
- Familiar with 6Sigma methodologies and principals
- General understanding of ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems
