Job Summary
Load part programs, CAD drawings, and cutting schedules into CNC laser equipment, then set up and operate machines to process sheet metal components according to specifications. Monitor operations to ensure parts meet required tolerances, inspect finished goods using calipers and micrometers, and perform routine maintenance like cleaning optics and checking alignments. Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve production issues, record material usage and quality metrics, and maintain a clean work area while adhering to all safety protocols. This role supports on-site power integration for large data scale centers in Virginia Beach, requiring three years of experience with CNC laser cutting equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment (Amada, Trumpf, Mazak, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications
- Strong understanding of metal types, thicknesses, and cutting characteristics
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures
- Basic computer literacy (for program loading, data entry, and machine interface navigation)
