Job Summary
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC laser and punch machines, including Trumpf equipment, while reading blueprints and interpreting work instructions. Perform tool setup, machine adjustments, and routine maintenance such as cleaning lenses and nozzles. Monitor production quality using precision measuring tools, troubleshoot machine issues, and assist with programming adjustments for G-code. Understand material types and thicknesses, maintain a clean work area, and follow all safety procedures. Support daily production in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work overtime, weekends, and perform an 8+ hour shift involving lifting up to 30 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent or 5+ years of related experience
- 5+ years of CNC laser and/or punch experience
- Blueprint reading skills
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Basic knowledge of G-code and CNC operations
- Strong understanding of machine safety
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends as needed
- Must be physically capable of standing/bending/stooping/squeezing 8+ hour shift(s)
- Must be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 30 pounds on a given day, without assistance
- Must have the ability to push, pull material and equipment as needed
- Must be able to wear required safety equipment including gloves and glasses
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Trumpf machines and controls
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance experience
- Familiarity with gases used in laser cutting
- Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read schematics
