Job Summary
Kit Cutter role in Unipart's automotive manufacturing ops focused on supplying and controlling cut composite kits for laminating, stock control of composite materials, digitising templates for accurate kit production, and liaising with material buyers to ensure clear stock understanding. Requires experience with composite kit cutting and equipment (Zund, Blackman and White Kit Cutting machines), draft sight, handling composites and their shelf-life, independence and goal-setting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Emphasis on quality standards, efficiency gains, and contributing to a sustainable, efficient supply chain. Located in Portsmouth, UK; on-site role with typical full-time hours.
Required Qualifications
- Composite kit cutting experience OR a similar role
- Experience with Zund and Blackman and White Kit Cutting machines
- Experience with draft sight desirable
- Experience of handling composites materials, its out life and its correct handling
- Ability to work independently, to be self- driven and able to set and monitor own goals
- Competent use of Microsoft suite
