Job Summary
Set up, program, and mill compact single pieces and small series on 5-axis CNC machines (Yasda, Kern, or Mikron) with Heidenhain or Fanuc controls to an accuracy of about 4 microns. Prepare fixtures, check tools and materials against technical drawings, and independently monitor quality using customer tolerances. Work in a compact team of four machinists across two shifts, collaborating with engineering to make new products feasible. Requires MBO level 3 or 4 technical education, experience with TopSolid 7 or control programming, and willingness to work Monday through Thursday in two shifts (6:00 to 14:30 and 14:15 to 23:00, plus Friday until 21:45). Salary ranges from €3,000 to €4,200 gross per month with a 17.19% shift allowance.
Required Qualifications
- A completed technical education at MBO level 3 or 4, preferably in Machining or Mechanical Engineering
- Demonstrable experience with independently setting up, operating, and programming 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Experience with programming in CAM, preferably TopSolid, and at the control (Heidenhain or Fanuc)
- Good command of the English language in word and writing, for drawings, work instructions, and communication in the workplace
- Willingness to work in 2-shifts (6:00 to 14:30 and 14:15 to 23:00, Monday to Thursday; and Friday until 21:45)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Yasda, Kern, or Mikron machines

- Experience with titanium, molybdenum, niobium, platinum, stainless steel, or Stavax materials
- Ability to mill compact single pieces and small series to an accuracy of about 4 microns
- Ability to set up, program, and measure work to within a few microns accurately
- Preference for working on compact single pieces and small series rather than mass production
- Ability to work independently on 5-axis milling machines
- Ability to monitor quality and measure according to tight tolerances
- Ability to prepare fixtures and check tools, products, and materials based on technical drawings and work instructions
- Ability to make new products feasible with engineering and work preparation
- Ability to look for the best way to machine products
- Ability to learn on the work floor from colleagues
- Potential to develop into a programmer or machining specialist
