CNC Field Service Technician

Job Summary
CNC Field Service Technician responsible for traveling from home to customer facilities to install, commission, calibrate, maintain, diagnose, and repair CNC equipment and accessory CNC equipment at customer sites. Works with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics; provides operator training; supports networking between systems and software applications; performs preventive maintenance, major assemblies, upgrades/retrofits, and un-installation services. Maintains documentation and communicates issues via Salesforce Lightning; develops in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines; aims to satisfy customers and support productivity improvements. Requires ability to travel to designated coverage territory, participate in remote training programs, and maintain a professional image. Desirable prerequisites include experience with machine tools, electro-mechanical skills, ability to read drawings, and strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-relations skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience with a machine tool builder or distributor or as a factory maintenance technician
- Proficient verbal and written communication and customer relation skills
- Able to interact and communicate in person and over the phone with customers and co-workers
- Present a professional image
- Basic digital literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Willing/capable of developing electro-mechanical skills (motors, drives, transformers)
- Knowledge of machine tool manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance & repair
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
- Rational decision making and problem-solving skills
