Job Summary
The CNC Engineering Technician will work with Engineering to coordinate production and post processing activities, create CNC code for capable and repeatable processes, and perform process troubleshooting and improvements. Responsibilities include interpreting prints and models, creating CNC programs for Swiss or Milling machine centers, selecting cutting tools, developing sustainable processes, writing work instructions, maintaining quality standards, conducting engineering tests, and resolving manufacturing issues. Key qualifications include 2-3 years of technical experience, proficiency in CAD and CAM software, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 2 – 3 years of experience in technical field
- Experience with CAD and CAM software – preferably Solid works, NX and Esprit
- Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment, especially word and excel
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the design and selection of fixturing and tooling for complex parts
- Experience in a precision manufacturing shop environment
- LEAN / Six Sigma training and demonstrated application
- Experience working within an ISO 13485 environment
- Ability to travel between LISI sites as needed
