Job Summary
CNC Mill Machinist on 2nd shift setting up and operating Vertical, Horizontal 4- and 5-Axis mills to machine rotor craft housings; producing high-quality parts by coordinating with data from CMM reports; proving out new CNC programs during New Product Introduction; collaborating with Engineering to develop top-notch manufacturing processes; implementing new technologies for machining processes and work-holding solutions; demonstrating knowledge of materials and cutting conditions; participating in daily GEMBA and Kaizen events; adhering to safety and housekeeping standards; assisting in scheduling resources to ensure daily work is completed efficiently; maintaining a lean, cost-focused production flow to support continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience with CNC aerospace machining.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to interface with MRP systems.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office products.
- Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and 6-Sigma defect analysis.
- Ability to work with all levels of workers in a team-oriented environment.
