Job Summary
Director of External Financial Reporting leads the preparation, review, and governance of external financial disclosures including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), regulatory reporting, and investor relations materials, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and banking regulations. Serves as primary liaison with external auditors, oversees SOX controls, and guides the end-to-end reporting process with Finance, Credit, and Compliance, while monitoring new accounting standards and supporting capital markets activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation strongly preferred
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in external financial reporting, public accounting, or related field within financial services
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting standards, and SOX controls
- Experience managing external audits and complex accounting matters
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
