Job Summary
Provide compassionate assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility; monitor and document patients’ conditions using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems; assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols while adhering to HIPAA; support clients in home health, assisted living, or nursing home settings with personalized care; use medical terminology in recording data and communicating with healthcare teams; operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts and catheters; engage in dementia, memory care, and hospice care practices to ensure comfort and safety; perform light housekeeping (cleaning, laundry, meal prep) to maintain a safe healing environment; candidates should have prior experience in long-term care or developmental disabilities and familiarity with EMR/EHR; CPR certification and knowledge of hospice/dementia care enhance effectiveness; prior caregiving experience in senior care or home & community settings is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or long-term care needs
- Experience in nursing homes or home health environments preferred
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems preferred
- Background in medical terminology
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of hospice or dementia care
- Experience with HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality
- Prior caregiving experience in senior care or home & community settings valued
