Job Summary
CNA role providing personal care, comfort measures, environmental services, and specified treatments for home health/hospice patients under RN or PT supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, ambulation, and self-administered medications (per state regulations); reporting changes to the supervising Registered Nurse; providing nutritional support when directed; performing duties consistent with Hospice Aide training; maintaining a safe, clean patient environment; stocking supplies and equipment; and supporting training of team members, volunteers, and students. Requires reliable transportation and flexibility to work weekends/holidays as census and staffing require. Licenses and CPR/BLS certifications are required; a valid driver’s license is required for travel.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) (Required)
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
- Valid Drivers License Required
- Drives personal vehicle for RHS business 25% or more of the time to perform essential functions
