Job Summary
Transport residents or accompany ambulatory residents to dining, activity, and therapy areas. Make unoccupied beds, assist with food service by passing trays and preparing meals, and distribute supplemental nourishments. Conduct informal activities on the nursing unit, supply fresh water, and prepare beds for sleep. Keep assigned areas neat, clean resident equipment, and notify therapists of unusual incidents. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00am–3:00pm during a three-week program including classroom instruction and clinical hands-on training. Complete the CNA certification exam with Elderwood covering fees and onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- Sixteen (16) years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Employment Certificate/Permit (for 16-17 years of age)
- No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment and misappropriation of property through any current or previous licensing agency
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
