Job Summary
Respond quickly to evolving physical or emotional needs of patients in active stages of dying as part of the Even More Care program. Provide urgent support and a steady presence for patients and families throughout 9 counties in Northeast Ohio during weekend shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM or 8:00 PM to 8:30 AM. Travel to the office in Green, Ohio is required, and you must possess a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current Ohio State Department of Health competency certification with at least 75 hours of training. One year of experience as a Hospice or Nurses Aide is mandatory, with hospice or home health agency experience preferred. Demonstrate the ability to utilize electronic clinical record software and interact effectively with interdisciplinary caregivers, peers, and supervisors while honoring the dignity of every life story.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Completed an Ohio State Department of Health Competency Test from an accredited program with a minimum requirement of 75 hours of certification
- Certified by the state as a nurses' aide with an unrestricted, active aide certification
- 1 year of current experience as a Hospice Aide or Nurses Aide
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and their families, as well as all interdisciplinary caregivers, peers, subordinates, and supervisors
- Ability to learn computer skills related to required clinical software and electronic clinical record utilization
- Reliable vehicle/transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Required automobile insurance
- Ability to safely and independently operate said vehicle
- Travel to the office located in Green, Ohio
- Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM shifts
- Saturday to Sunday, 8:00 PM to 8:30 AM shifts
