Job Summary
Special Attendant responsibilities include personal care activities such as assisting with hygiene, ambulation, eating, meal preparation, dressing, grooming, and physical transfers. The role involves patient care skills including bathing, oral hygiene, supporting patients with urinary catheters, skin/nail care, and ensuring adequate nutrition and fluid intake. Candidates must demonstrate emotional stability and mental maturity, along with a willingness to serve. This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of six months of direct client care experience and does not require a CNA license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six months experience in direct client care
- Ability to read, write and carry out direction
- Listed as a nurse aide on the Texas Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry with no reported findings and in good standing
