Job Summary
Provide direct resident care including assistance with grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, transferring, and ambulation. Monitor clients for changes in condition or safety risks such as falls or skin breakdown, and promptly report observations to licensed nursing personnel. Complete accurate documentation in the EMR and maintain a safe, clean environment while following infection control procedures. Support the supervisor with operational tasks and administrative duties as assigned. Work part-time AM shifts (7am-3pm) with rotating schedules including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Current valid certification of Certified Nursing Assistant credentials, as required by Illinois Department of Public Health or recommendation of an instructor of in-state approved C.N.A. program.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of CNA experience (long-term care preferred)
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, clients/patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances
- Must be able to frequently push, pull, move 20-30 lbs., and occasionally lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Sits, stands, bends, lifts, walks and climbs stairs, as needed to perform tasks/duties.
- May be scheduled to work weekends and holidays based on operational needs.
- Schedules are subject to change based on operational need.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership ability or prior Lead CNA experience preferred
