Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. Obtain and record vital signs, observe patient condition changes, and assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning. Maintain a clean, safe environment, provide emotional support, answer call lights promptly, and accurately document care while following infection control and privacy regulations. Work 11:00PM to 7:00AM across five shifts per week in the Skilled Nursing Unit at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, FL. Requires current Florida CNA certification and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Current Florida CNA certification (active and in good standing)
- Current BLS certification (preferred or required upon hire)
- Ability to lift, move, or assist patients (up to 50+ lbs with assistance)
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shift
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
- Submit to a criminal history check and screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment
- Successful completion of all pre-employment requirements, including a pre-employment drug screening and background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or hospital setting preferred
