Job Summary
Provide assistance to licensed nursing personnel by documenting activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and grooming, while maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe environment. Utilize basic infection control procedures, nutrition, and fluid intake skills. Recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately. Collaborate with various teams to communicate patient needs and identify learning opportunities for patients and families. Apply professional standards of practice and regulatory compliance requirements in acute care settings. This role is located at the San Francisco facility of Kentfield Hospital, a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital serving Marin County and San Francisco.
Required Qualifications
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Nursing Assistant in the state of California
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to identify and implement components of the therapy process
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of teams and individuals
- Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations
- Ability to project a professional image
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
Desired Qualifications
- Acute care/LTAC experience preferred
