Job Summary
Nurse Assistant (NA) in MercyOne Dubuque Rehab Unit as part of MercyOne Dubuque/Dyersville Medical Center team. Under the direct supervision of a registered professional nurse, NAs provide holistic, compassionate patient care by assisting with activities of daily living and meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in alignment with established policies and procedures. Schedule: PRN (As needed); hours and shifts may vary. Role requires CNA-related credentials and ongoing readiness to meet required certifications (Iowa registry, 75-hour CNA course, BLS within 30 days of hire and every 2 years). Additional qualifications include EMT certification or formally holding a medical occupation specialty from the military, and high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Required Qualifications
- Be active on the Iowa registry (required for long term care nurse assistants in Iowa)
- 75-hour CNA course completion
- EMT Certification
- military medical occupation specialty training from the military (current or former)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- BLS Certification within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter
- Child labor laws applicable to minors under 18; 16 years of age minimum
