Job Summary
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a senior living community, you will play a vital role in providing care, support, and assistance to elderly residents. Key responsibilities include assisting with daily activities and personal care needs, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing emotional support. The position requires physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift and move residents safely. Qualified applicants must have completed a state-approved CNA training program and possess a valid certification in Basic Life Support and First Aid.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a state-approved CNA training program and certification
- Ability to successfully pass a background screening through the AHCA Clearinghouse
Desired Qualifications
- Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid
- Knowledge of senior care practices, including proper body mechanics, infection control, and safety procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassion, empathy, and patience in dealing with elderly residents
