Job Summary

The CNA provides patient- and family-focused care in a 24/7 hospital setting across units as assigned, including assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility), monitoring vital signs, ensuring patient safety and comfort, responding to call lights, documenting in the EMR, following infection prevention protocols, and supporting the nursing team within CNA scope. Additional duties may include nasogastric suction, ECG/telemetry setup, CPM equipment, and other routine tasks as described, with emphasis on teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Oregon State Board of Nursing
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider
  • Valid Oregon driver’s license (for Home Health/Hospice/Wound caregivers)
  • Completion of SCHS CNA training course within 45 days of hire
