Job Summary
CNA Program Instructor collaborates with the Program Coordinator to present curriculum, teach lecture and lab content, coordinate clinical training, and supervise course participants during clinical experiences. The role includes supervising students on units during their clinical experiences and requires an RN license with teaching experience or approved credential in teaching adult learners. Eligible candidates may also have NYSED teaching certification or equivalent teaching experience; two years of experience teaching nursing/nursing-related programs to adults or nurse aides in a residential health care facility is preferred. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Essex Center is a 100-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in Elizabethtown, NY. Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed registered nurse (RN) with at least one year of experience in a nursing home
- Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners as evidenced by: completion of teaching adults course or NYS teacher certification or two years of teaching experience in nursing/nursing-related programs in an academic setting approved by the state education department or two years of experience teaching nurse aides in a residential health care facility
