CNA Program Instructor (NATP)

Job Summary
CNA Program Instructor will collaborate with the Program Coordinator to present curriculum and to teach lecture and lab content. Responsible for coordinating clinical training and supervision of course participants, and supervising students on units during their clinical experience. Requires the instructor to be a registered nurse with relevant teaching qualifications and experience in nursing education, including adult-learner instruction or NYS teaching certification, or substantial teaching experience in nursing/nursing-related programs.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with at least one year of experience in a nursing home
- Ability to teach adult learners as demonstrated by: completion of a professionally recognized course in teaching adult learners or NYS Education Department teacher's certification or two-year experience teaching nursing or nursing-related programs to adults in an academic setting approved by the state education department or two years of experience teaching nurse aides in a residential health care facility.
