Job Summary
CNA Program Instructor (NATP) recruits to teach and supervise nursing assistant program curriculum. Responsibilities include delivering lecture and lab content, coordinating clinical training and supervision of course participants, and supervising students during clinical experiences on units. Requires an RN with at least one year of nursing-home experience and demonstrated ability to teach adult learners, validated by a professional teaching course, NYS teacher certification, or two years of relevant teaching experience in nursing or nurse aide programs. Location: Elizabeth, NY (Essex Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare).
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse (RN)
- At least one year of experience in a nursing home
- Ability to teach adult learners as demonstrated by: completion of a professionally recognized course in teaching adult learners, or NYS Education Department teacher's certification, or two-year experience teaching nursing or nursing-related programs to adults in an academic setting approved by the state education department, or two years of experience teaching nurse aides in a residential health care facility
