Job Summary
CNA Program Instructor works with the Program Coordinator to present the curriculum, teaches lecture and lab content, coordinates clinical training, and supervises course participants during clinical experiences. The instructor supervises students on units during clinicals and collaborates to ensure effective nursing assistant education within a rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility setting. Requires RN licensure and demonstrated ability to teach adult learners, with relevant NY state teaching qualifications or substantial teaching experience in nursing/nursing-related programs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a registered nurse (RN)
- At least one year of nursing home experience
- Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners as evidenced by: completion of a course in teaching adult learners or NYSED teacher certification or two-year experience teaching nursing/nursing-related programs to adults in an approved setting or two years of experience teaching nurse aides in a residential health care facility
