Job Summary
CNA Program Instructor (NATP) will collaborate with the Program Coordinator to deliver curriculum through lectures and labs, coordinate clinical training and supervision of course participants, and supervise students during clinical experiences on units. Requirements include being a registered nurse with relevant teaching experience and/or certification, plus demonstrated ability to teach adult learners. The role is based in Elizabeth, NY, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus mentioned in the posting. The position involves teaching activities and supervision of clinical training for nursing-related programs at Essex Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare (a 100-bed facility) and is part of the Centers Health Care Consortium.
Required Qualifications
- Be a registered nurse with at least one year of experience in a nursing home
- Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners as evidenced by: Completion of a professionally recognized course in teaching adult learners, or NYS Education Department teacher's certification, or two-year experience teaching nursing or nursing-related programs to adults in an academic setting approved by the state education department, or two years of experience teaching nurse aides in a residential health care facility
