Job Summary
Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant - PRN (on-call) assists licensed nursing staff with activities of daily living (ADLs) including dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising. Performs treatments, tests, and specimen collection as directed; changes bed linens; transfers and escorts residents; documents observations and care in EMR (Vision); conducts weekly full body inspections and reports skin status changes; ensures residents are adequately hydrated and responds promptly to signal lights. Requires completion of a state-approved geriatric nursing assistant training program and state registry; English communication and basic arithmetic skills; ability to document care; non-slip footwear. Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program
- Registration with State registry required
- Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic
- Ability to document care given
- Wears appropriate non-slip footwear
