Job Summary
The Medication Assistant (MA) serves as caregiver who provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a charge nurse. Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support. May assist with transfers and range of motion exercises, help with meals, and document outcomes related to resident care, medications, behavior, activity, and dietary. Completes tasks to support wellness/recreational programs and maintains records. Requires state-specific CMA/CMA or CMA-related certification; high school diploma or GED preferred. Location: East Grand Forks, MN, US; Facility: Good Samaritan/ Sanford nursing facility; PRN shift with varying schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required by state
- State-specific requirements: CMA/TMA or certified medication aide course as applicable (IA, MN, ND, SD)
- Active CNA registration or ability to obtain within 120 days
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
