Job Summary
Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care in a long-term care setting, including assisting with daily living activities, delivering meals, hygiene, turning and ambulating patients, monitoring vital signs, and recording information in charts. Works as part of a care team to support nurses and other staff, with responsibilities that include bedside care, comfort, hydration, nutrition, and basic adjunct care such as applying ice packs and non-sterile dressings. Must communicate effectively with patients and staff, handle multiple tasks under pressure, and demonstrate a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant training course
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills including empathy
