Job Summary
Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and respiration. Bathe clients, assist with showers and partial baths, and help with personal hygiene and activities of daily living. Assist clients with proper exercises and support physical therapy rehabilitation when applicable. Lift, turn, and weigh clients as appropriate, and answer questions about self-care techniques while instructing families on providing care. Assist clients in preparing for doctor appointments. This role requires a licensed CNA registered in good standing with a valid Tennessee Driver's license and dependable transportation. Flexible scheduling and weekly pay are offered for one-on-one care.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
- Registered and listed in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of employment
- Ability to recognize the needs of people
- Capacity to maintain good relationships with people
- Capacity to make meaningful observations
- Ability to communicate observations to the supervisor
- Valid Tennessee Driver's license
- Ability to wear seat belts at all times while driving
- Automobile liability insurance
- Dependable transportation kept in good working condition
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of full-time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility)
