Job Summary
Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and respiration. Bathe clients, assist with showers, and help with activities of daily living while maintaining personal hygiene. Answer client questions about self-care techniques and assist with doctor appointments. Lift, turn, and weigh clients as appropriate under daily supervision. Provide exercises and assist with physical therapy rehabilitation when applicable. This Private Duty role offers flexible hours, weekly pay, and one-on-one care for licensed individuals in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
- Registered and listed in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of employment
- Ability to recognize the needs of people
- Capacity to maintain good relationships with people
- Capacity to make meaningful observations
- Ability to communicate observations to the supervisor
- Valid Tennessee Driver's license
- Ability to wear seat belts at all times while driving
- Automobile liability insurance
- Dependable transportation kept in good working condition
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of full-time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility)
