Job Summary
Provide basic patient care under nursing direction, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and transferring residents. Answer call signals to assess needs, administer specialized care such as catheters and oxygen, and measure vital signs while documenting observations and intake in care plans. Transport residents within facilities using wheelchairs or assist walking, maintain confidentiality per HIPAA, and conduct safety checks to report absences. Review dietary restrictions and preferences, encourage resident independence, and implement care plans with ideas for improvement. Maintain required MI CNA certification, attend annual in-service training, and participate in staff meetings while following all Presbyterian Villages and federal safety policies. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- MI Certified Nursing Assistant
- Must have ability to operate a computer
- Operate Electronic Medical Records
- Must be able to work evenings weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs
- Must be able to push or pull 100 lbs
- Must be able to squat, kneel, bend, or reach outward/above shoulder
- Must maintain required CNA certification
- Must participate in required annual state in-service
- Must maintain minimum of 12 in-service hours annually
- Must be able to report resident absence from premise immediately following Village policy
- Must maintain confidentiality of resident information and care complying with HIPAA and Resident Rights
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift/carry up to 100 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs
