Job Summary
Provides direct patient care under RN supervision in a 12-hour shift Med Surg unit, performing assigned tasks such as wound care, EKGs, phlebotomy, peripheral IV removal, and splinting. Documents patient data into EMR, follows plan of care, assists with admissions/discharges/transfers, maintains a safe environment, and supports routine clinical procedures (vital signs, dressings, specimen collection) per unit competency and policy. Must meet one of several eligible criteria (CNA, EMT-B, MA program graduate, or current nursing student with 80 hours clinical). BLS certification required upon hire.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet at least one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA); EMT-B (Basic); Medical Assistant Program Graduate; Currently enrolled in LPN/RN Nursing program with 80 hours completed; BLS required upon hire
