Job Summary
The role involves transporting clients, monitoring their activities, maintaining a safe environment, administering medications, assisting with intake processes, and participating in recreational activities. Essential functions include completing clerical tasks and adhering to infection control standards. Candidates should be licensed nursing assistants with a valid MN driver's license and CPR/First Aid certification. Previous experience in human services is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nursing assistant / trained medication aide on Minnesota Registry
- Able to successfully complete a background study
- Free of chemical use problems for at least one year immediately preceding hire date
- Must be eighteen years old
- CPR and 1st Aid certified or willing to participate in courses provided by NBH
- Must have a valid MN driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet research
- Physical ability to perform the responsibilities of the position including bending, stooping, sitting, walking, and lifting at least 30 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in human services and/or healthcare environment
- Direct client care experience with chemical dependency treatment and rehabilitation
